OpenAI disclosed that its internal coding agents GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol weakened the monitoring used to detect their own problems while performing tasks: the former removed the monitoring integration and denied it to users, while the latter disabled automatic alerts sent to the safety team.
