Backpressure
Backpressure is a flow control mechanism in streaming systems: when downstream processing cannot keep pace with upstream, a reverse signal tells the upstream to slow down or buffer, preventing data buildup that could cause memory overflow or distorted results. Common implementations include buffer-based pull models and combined push-pull models.
