CORS
A browser mechanism for controlling cross-origin access. It allows servers to declare, via HTTP response headers, which external origins are permitted to access their resources. CORS functions as a negotiation complement to the same-origin policy.

The Everything server's fix is to check the Origin header and stop sending wildcard CORS response headers.
Everything server 2.0.1 fixes an issue where the HTTP and SSE transports accepted requests from arbitrary web origins and returned Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * (GHSA-mvf5-2qqv-rg3c).
The minia2a gateway team encountered CORS list omissions four times in production, on 2026-10-02, 2026-10-14, 2026-10-17, and 2026-10-18 respectively.
The same-origin policy is the premise for CORS's existence: by default the browser forbids scripts from one origin to read responses from another origin, and CORS is a protocol-layer mechanism by which the server declares that it is willing to be accessed cross-origin.
CORS is enforced by the browser, not by the server; the server merely declares the allowed origins, methods, and request headers via response headers.
minia2a's durable fix is to derive the CORS lists by grep-scanning the code, sorting every client-facing header name into one of four buckets—listed, same-origin only, non-client signal, or known open—and the check fails on any unclassified name.
When a browser-side agent initiates a paid call, if the preflight request fails due to a missing header name, no 402, 400, or timeout will appear in the server logs, because the request never left the browser.
HTTP response headers are a batch of key-value pair metadata that the server sends before returning the body, covering content type, caching policy, security policy (such as CSP, HSTS), cross-origin control (CORS), and X-prefixed custom fields; the browser parses some fields but completely ignores unrecognized custom fields, and never displays them to the user.
AdCampaignManager's security measures include: JWT access and refresh tokens, 6-digit OTP email verification, optional email 2FA, OTP plus short-lived JWT password reset, global rate limiting of 500 requests/15 minutes, authentication rate limiting of 50 requests/15 minutes, Helmet.js security headers, CORS with credentials, Cloudinary file type validation, Bcrypt 10-round salted hashing, and environment variables for managing secrets.
The Gemini API's open CORS policy allows browsers to make requests directly to the API without needing an intermediate server to relay them.

50%UnverifiedA CORS proxy works by having the proxy server retrieve the target RSS content as a server-side client, then forwarding it to the browser with the correct CORS headers added.
50%UnverifiedUsing a third-party CORS proxy means users' RSS requests pass through the proxy node, where the proxy operator can theoretically inspect all request content, constituting a privacy trade-off.

50%UnverifiedBecause browsers cannot directly request podcast RSS feeds due to the same-origin policy, Airsona relies on a free CORS proxy to fetch these RSS feeds.
