RiftPoint
A custom LangGraph checkpoint saver (BaseCheckpointSaver) built on a Rust engine. Instead of copying full state snapshots, it uses multiverse branching and pointer tracking to reduce memory and performance overhead in concurrent agent workflows.
Timeline (last 90 days)
RiftPoint is a LangGraph checkpointer based on a Rust engine, designed to address memory and performance bottlenecks when evaluating concurrent agent paths.
RiftPoint is a custom BaseCheckpointSaver whose underlying layer is powered by the author's self-developed Rust engine, janus-tachyon-rs.
RiftPoint adopts a 'multiversal branching' approach, offloading pointer arithmetic and state tracking to the Rust layer rather than copying full JSON data blocks.
RiftPoint allows multiple concurrent alternative realities to be generated simultaneously for an agent (e.g., testing 5 tool calls at once) and then collapsed back to the best-performing result, with overhead being only a fraction of that of traditional methods.
RiftPoint has been open-sourced and published to PyPI, and can be installed via pip install riftpoint.
RiftPoint's source code is hosted on GitHub at the repository goldenphoenix713/RiftPoint.
RiftPoint is an early-stage open-source project created by an individual developer, and its stability, ecosystem compatibility, and performance under production loads still require further validation.
