RTT
A network performance metric referring to the total time from when a packet leaves the client to when the client receives the server's response. It comprises three segments: the outbound trip, server-side processing, and the return trip.
Timeline (last 90 days)
In high-frequency handover scenarios such as Starlink, identification blind spots may cover most of the RTT variation period, leaving the prediction model able to rely only on historical RTT extrapolation and unable to use real-time geometric relationships to correct forecasts.
On a perfect 5G network, network round-trip time (RTT) is typically 50 to 150 milliseconds.
