Slow Path
In the fast-path/slow-path separation principle, the slow path handles the minority of cases requiring deeper judgment using heavier but more flexible logic. In agents, this is performed by the model through semantic understanding and judgment.
Timeline (last 90 days)
SuperAgent uses fast and slow paths for event filtering: the fast path performs deterministic checks (source, whitelist, etc.), the slow path has the model make semantic judgments, and the outputs fall into four categories: ignore, log, accept the task, and clarify.
The concepts of Fast Path and Slow Path originate from the idea of separating fast and slow paths in computer system design, and have similar applications in systems such as network packet filtering and risk-control rule engines.
