Threadripper
A series of high-performance desktop processors released by AMD.
Timeline (last 90 days)
On a 2018 Threadripper CPU (under load) with 4 threads, SteerTTS-edge achieves an RTF of 0.053, about 19x real-time speed, with first-packet audio of about 120ms, supporting sentence-level streaming output.
为了双卡 x16/x16 专门上 Threadripper，是一笔资本配置效率很低的投入，那 2500 美元的溢价花在更高一级的 GPU、更快显存或云算力上更划算。
A user running a Threadripper platform with 512GB DDR4 memory achieved approximately 8 tokens/s running DeepSeek 671B by offloading expert layers to RAM.
