Hugging Face's Buckets, Webhooks and Jobs can be combined to build a data pipeline that runs entirely in the cloud, where a new file landing in the bucket automatically triggers a Job via Webhook to perform format conversion.
A Job run directly on the Hub executes only once; the demo script looks up the Webhook ID, so running the script before the Webhook has been created in effect does nothing.
Hugging Face's Webhook is used to listen for changes to a given repository or bucket under a specific user or organization, and it does not serve only the Webhook's owner, other users can use this mechanism as well.
The hf webhooks create command requires the Job ID, the bucket to listen to, and the Hugging Face token of the currently logged-in user to create a Webhook.
Outcomes, multi-agent orchestration, and Webhooks have entered public beta.
Webhooks allow Agents to trigger external services when specific events occur, or to receive real-time notifications from external systems.
