Weight
A weight is an adjustable parameter in a model's mapping function that determines how strongly an input signal affects the output. Training adjusts weights through algorithms such as backpropagation in order to reduce error.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Weights refer to the parameter values stored in a neural network after training is complete; releasing the weights means third parties can download them and load and run them on their own hardware via an inference framework, and can perform quantization, fine-tuning or distillation.
Weights and biases are the core parameters through which neural networks learn.
Weights control the direction of the decision boundary, and biases control the position of the decision boundary.
Excessively large weights may cause the Sigmoid activation function to saturate, triggering vanishing gradients.
