Channel Configuration
The set of metadata parameters describing the physical characteristics of a channel in wireless communication systems, including antenna configuration, bandwidth and subcarrier spacing. These parameters directly affect channel statistical properties such as delay spread and Doppler shift, and can be injected into models as inductive bias.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Most existing radio foundation model (RFM) methods use only raw channel data and ignore channel configuration (CFG) as prior information.
A recent paper proposed incorporating CFG information into RFM pretraining and validated the effectiveness of configuration-enhanced embeddings as an inductive prior.
Future work could explore more complex configuration combinations, dynamic configuration scenarios, and the possibility of combining CFG information with other modalities (such as geographic information).
